H-E-B Scholarships for Texas Athletic, Music and Academic Participants
Requirements: You must be a current Texas high school senior graduating in 2024 with a minimum 3.3 GPA, have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student and have been active in community service programs or events.
Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all support documents at the same time. Applications for the 2023-24 school year are now OPEN. What you will need to apply for 2023-24 consideration.
- Current GPA
- Number of Community Service Hours in the last 12 months
- Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted
- A Letter of Recommendation
- A short essay (500 words or less) on the topic: "What does Community mean to you?"

SPE Fort Worth STEM Scholarship
To encourage the pursuit of careers in the Oil and Gas Industry, the Fort Worth Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers is excited to offer scholarships for students that are either entering their freshman year of college or are an undergraduate student already in college.
Undergraduate scholarships of up to $3,000 per year are awarded annually and (once awarded) may be renewed through the recipient’s senior year in college (up to $12,000 in total).
Scholarships and renewals are contingent on the student:
- Enrolling in and maintaining a full-time status in a curriculum leading to a degree in petroleum engineering or related program that will lead to a career in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for each semester.
Failure to maintain these standards may result in a denial of renewal requests.
EECU Community Foundation
Apply today for the EECU Community Foundation Scholarship and earn up to $5,000 for four-year bachelor’s degree programs and up to $2,500 for two-year community college or vocational/technical school programs. Must be an EECU member or parent is an EECU member. Must be a senior.
Celebrate Texas Public Schools Scholarship
This Scholarship is for graduating seniors who can use their voice and visual media (i.e. video) to share how their public school education has impacted their future. The goal of this Scholarship is to highlight the “Great Things Happening in Texas Public Schools” from the student’s perspective.
This year Friends will award one graduate with its scholarship for a student joining the workforce, continuing education through trade schools/military or other forms of post-secondary training, as well as a college-bound graduate.
Deadline Submission: October 30th
Notify winner: November 9th
Award Presentation: at Friends Gala on 11/18 in Waco, Texas

How to enter:
1. Complete an application (ONLINE) include how the money will be used for the students' future/help achieve my goals, including approval to use video/presentation, the link for presentation, demographic, upload letter docs.
2. Submit a video/multimedia presentation 2 minutes or less, regarding how public schools impacted your life/career choice and prepared you to meet your future goals. (use your platform of choice and send us a link to video )
3. Submit one letter from teachers related to the student’s work in school
4. Submit one letter from a guidance counselor, principal, vice-principal, or superintendent regarding the student’s plans after graduation.
Hagan Scholarship
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide each recipient with the opportunity to Graduate College Debt-Free. Recipients of a Hagan Scholarship will graduate from an Eligible Public High School located in a county having fewer than 50,000 residents or from a remote rural public high school located in a larger county. There is NO Application Fee. To inform your students about the Hagan Scholarship please provide a link from your school’s website to Haganscholarships.org.
Hagan Scholarship recipients are high achieving, self-motivated students who will require substantial financial assistance to attend college. The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years; nine hundred twenty-seven Hagan Scholars from 43 states are currently enrolled at 358 colleges and universities. Over 2,000 Hagan Scholarships have been awarded to date, 500 more scholarships will be awarded in April 2021.
